We are using the wavrecorder applet as an integrated recording tool for voice dictation. We have an issue where the applet fails to upload the file to the server. The fix for this is too re-dictate the wav file again and attempt to upload again.

1. Is there a way to recover the audio file if it hasn't been converted to a wav file yet? (Audio info is still stored in buffer files)

2. What format is the audio stored as in the buffer file. Simply renaming it from *.tmp to *.wav doesn't work.

Any help would be appreciated...

Thank you,

mnguyen

Which applet do you use? Is it Mp3 recording applet? Is it WAV recording applet? or is it WAV Pro recording applet?
I need to know it to help you. Sorry for delayed response.

There is no method for recover if upload failed, because .tmp file has no header. We construct header of .wav file when upload is processing and send it as first block on server.
Please, describe situations when upload fails.

Rostislav.
