The old RP Voice Recorder had a WebPlay function to play files from the server as in:

Does the new AudioApplet.jar have a similar function?

Users of previous applets usually did not use WebPlay functionality, they used applet to record audio and save it on the server and played back this audio by using Flash player.
Therefore, we did not implement WebPlay in the new Audio applet.
