I want to use the MP3 recorder on a site, the thing it's that the Applet doesn't loads on Safari.
I have also tried your example http://www.vimas.com/mp3.php but the only thing that I get it's the "Loading Java applet.." leyend.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I tested mp3 recording applet www.vimas.com/mp3.php on the Windows with Safari v. 3.1.2.
and on the Mac with Safari 3. Applet worked fine.
On which OS and on which version of Safari you tested the applet?

I recommend you close all browsers before testing, than open web page with applet and test it.
Please inform me about results.

os x 10.5.7, safari 4.0.2, and it doesn't work on any of about 8 macs that I have tried. I'm sure it did work on 3.1.2, but have you tried
it on safari version 4?

I am having the same problem. Anybody figure it out? My issue is: "Please check ServerScript Parameter". That parameter is placed inside a placeholder tag. Any recommendations would help. My program works everywhere except Safari.

Is this related to the "Snow Leopard" Mac issue? About 6 weeks ago it was said that the Voice Applet had problems in Snow Leopard and that a fix would come out in a week or two. It's been almost 6 weeks so I was wondering if this is still a problem or if a fix nearly ready to be released?

Please try new audio recording applet on the http://vimas.com/audio.php
It works on the Mac with Snow Leopard OS.
Note! This applet records audio in Mp3, WAV, Ogg Vorbis and Speex audio formats. To get it working use examples included in the SDK package. Registration keys for Mp3 Recording Applet works with new Audio Recording Applet.

Tried this new applet.

Where it doesn't work:
I can't get it to work with Snow Leopard.
At least, it works the first time, but if you try going back to the applet to record a second time before shutting down your browser, it locks it up (Safari, Chrome, Opera).
It doesn't work on any Firefox for Mac, even on pre-Snow Leopard Macs.

Where it does work:
It does work on pre-Snow Leopard Safari on Mac
I've had total success using it on PCs (Opera, Safari, Chrome, and Explorer, Firefox)

I'm using the old applet for Firefox on the Mac side.

Did you test new applet in Mp3 mode? I tested it on the www.vimas.com/audio.php on the Mac with Snow Leopard and Safari browser and it worked fine. Please give me more details about your testing. Describe it step by step. Please send me Java console content after you reproduced the bug.

Thanks. Sergey

Don't have time for all that right this second, but I did want to let you know that the new release of Safari 4.0.5 works with this new applet. Not sure what they changed that helped. So it's down to Chrome and Opera.
